Please Pick Up Dog Poo on SideLey Park

Please Pick Up Dog Poo on SideLey Park

I am very sorry to have to report that our hardworking volunteers and "Friends of" SideLey Park had to encounter almost a dozen piles of dog poo yesterday when they undertook weeding for the first time this year.

It is unacceptable for dog owners not to pick up and I would advise that a Public Space Protection Order (PSPO) is in force on SideLey Park which means that if witnessed, owners can be fined for not picking up. Owners can also be fined if they are not able to produce, to an Officer, that they have bags on their person to pick up.

The Parish Council is extremely grateful to our volunteers for keeping SideLey Park looking so lovely. The Park is for everyone to enjoy and we are all trying hard to ensure that a few people (and dogs) do not spoil this.

A CCTV camera will soon be installed on the Park which can be used as evidence to fine those that insist on not picking up after their dogs.

Lastly, a big thank you to those who do respect the park and pick up after their dogs - we are very grateful.
