Donate to Shepshed Food Bank

Last year, we collected many food items for Shepshed Foodbank as we were informed by the organisers that Kegworth residents have made use of the facility.

We want to repeat the collection again in the run up to
Christmas and I therefore ask for your kind donations once again. The foodbank have one request please and that is to not receive any pasta as apparently they have enough to

As you may have seen, volunteers have been hard at work on SideLey Park planting the various areas.

One final push to complete the planting has been arranged for Thursday 26th October from 10am onwards so if you can spare some time, please come along to help or just lend some moral support!

Sideley Park Planting

Sideley Park Planting

Thursday 12th October saw nearly 20 Friends of SideLey Park pull together to transform the Sensory area into a feast of texture and colour. The 'hard labour' will be well rewarded in the Spring when the plants and bulbs are well established.

The Copse areas will need planting in the coming weeks and any volunteers will be welcomed with open arms.

Phase 2 of the border planting, including the sensory garden area is taking place at Sideley Park this week, on Thursday 12 October at 9 am.

If you can spare a few hours to help with the planting, please be at the park for 9 am on Thursday.
